In just an hour after the broadcast ended, however, the program’s viewer boards were bombarded with more 1,000 posts containing viewer complaints. Netizens said, ‘Do you think it’s right for those at the center of a controversy to appear in a broadcast when the problem hasn’t been solved yet?’, ‘Shouldn’t they come on after the problem’s been solved?’, ‘Why did they conclude their promotions, anyway?’, ‘They have a “will” to fight with the viewers’ and ‘The producers are the problem; they ignore viewer opinions.’
MBC’s Quiz to Change the World also went through a similar ordeal after the two had appeared on its August 4 broadcast with new member Ah Reum, and was especially hit hard by Tijinyo’s protests.
The T-ara incident seems to be far from reaching a conclusion, as Core Contents Media continues to issue appeasing press releases, yet has T-ara appear on broadcasts as scheduled.
