T-ara”s Jiyeon is hosting the 4th season of SBS MTV”s “The Show: All About K-POP” or simply “The Show” alongside Girl”s Day Hyeri.

During the press conference of “The Show” on September 23, Jiyeon expressed her thoughts about MCing and said, “I”m thankful to continue hosting season 4 following season 3 and I”ll work harder for kpop fans.”

She also stated that Hyeri, who wasn”t able to attend the event because of conflicting schedule, has sent message of support. Regarding the male MC who hasn”t yet revealed, Jiyeon confesses, “I hope for someone who goes along with me and Hyeri. Someone who has a cute style.”

With T-ara”s Jiyeon as the guest on the July 17 installment of KBS 2TV“s “Happy Together 3,” the MCs brought up the fact that they heard Jiyeon came out on top in a beauty ranking amongst the idols.

Comedian Kim Shin Young stated that she heard first place was Suzy, second YoonA, and then third was Jiyeon to which the T-ara member replied, “I was number one!” in a thick voice that surprised the other MCs and caused teasing. Laughing, Jiyeon apologized jokingly, “Sorry. It was so sudden because I felt wronged.”

She explained with pride that a cable program did a survey in which she came out in first place, Suzy in second, and YoonA in third. MC Yoo Jae Suk teased her for remembering the list.

On June 30th, T-ara”s Hyomin held a press conference for her solo debut album release; which the venue of the press conference was at Seoul”s JKB Tower.On the conference, Hyomin stated that she “gained the strength and encouragement to debut solo through the encouragement of members.”She further explained, “It”s my first time standing here alone.Jiyeon told me it”s very nerve-wracking, and indeed it is.I ate something to calm my nerves but I”m still very nervous.”

Hyomin goes on to say that her members were very supportive for her solo debut; which she said, “Jiyeon and other members were very encouraging.At first, when I was offered an opportunity to go solo, I felt bad toward the other members, and hesitated to share my solo song with them.But they approached me first and supported me.Jiyeon supported me, saying it would be very nerve-wracking.We promised each other that we would not be swayed by results but focus on showing our full potential on the stage.”

Hyomin”s new album was released on June 30th and she made her solo debut with a new style; which she cut her hair short.Her new single is titled, “Nice Body”; which she collaborated with Brave Brothers Loco.Hyomin”s single is a slow tempo hip-hop rhythm.Before the release of Hyomin”s new single, there were some people that believed her concept is similar to American singer Miley Cyrus.

140624 Jiyeon gives Siwan a sweet kiss on ‘Triangle’

T-ara”s Jiyeon resumed her acting career by first appearing in the fifteenth episode of “Triangle” just the other day. She again made an appearance in today”s episode to continue her possibly blossoming romance with ZE:A”s Siwan as his potential partner in a marriage of convenience.

She proved to be forward and adamant about their relationship as in this club scene, she surprises Siwan with a quick kiss and asks him afterward, “Even when I do this, is it not fun for you?” Siwan follows up with a 19+ comment, saying he couldn”t tell with a kiss, but perhaps he could if they slept together in clear hopes of sending her scurrying away.

However, she was just as brash as she said, “Let”s go, then,” to his surprise. He then admits he does like her a bit to which she cleverly says he would continue to find her entertaining and likable, then leaves, knowing the perfect timing to leave him hanging.

A Core Contents Media rep revealed through Star News on the 21st, “Jiyeon will conclude her promotions for solo song “1MIN 1SEC” with the recording of SBS MTV“s “The Show: All About K-POP” on the 22nd.” The scheduled air date for this episode is the 24th.

Jiyeon will wrap up her promotion for “Never Ever” on upcoming episode of MTV’s “The Show”.

On June 21st, Core Contents Media said that Jiyeon will conclude her promotion for “Never End” on MTV’s ‘The Show: All About K-Pop’ on June 22nd”. This episode will be broadcast later on the 24th.

In particular, in order to show her gratitude for all the fans, Jiyeon will hold her last fan signing event on June 21st at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do.

140621 Jiyeon to end promotions for “Never Ever” this weekend, prior to Hyomin’s debut

With her first debut performance held on Friday, May 23rd during “M! Countdown,” Jiyeon will now finalize her promotions for “Never Ever” on “The Show: All about K-pop” this Sunday, June 22nd.

A few hours earlier, a representative from their agency, Core Contents Media, shared to Star News, “Jiyeon will perform her last broadcast for ‘Never Ever’ on SBS MTV’s ‘The Show: all about K-Pop,’ later tomorrow.” The edited episode will then be shown through television and media on Tuesday, June 24th. This will give relatively two weeks of extra time for Hyomin to prepare following Jiyeon’s success with her first solo.

However, before she leaves, Jiyeon has one last gift prepared for her fans in thanks for their love for her solo debut. Later today on Saturday, June 21st, the youngest member and first soloist of T-ara will hold a fan-sign event at Gyeonggido’s Ilsan Kintex Stadium for just a few hours, in order to give personal thanks to all the fans that could make it.

As Jiyeon paved the way for the rest of the group to promote as solo artists someday in the future, her debut had naturally triggered much conversation amongst the fans and media. She gave a new start to her group, raising the possibilities of talents and concepts that each member could reveal throughout this year.

Jiyeon added via her agency to Star News, “It feels like just yesterday that I was giddy and nervous backstage for my very first solo performance, but already the end is coming,” adding, “I was very grateful for all the support and interest that fans had for my debut.” Moreover, she stated, “T-ara as well will be returning onstage soon, but in the meantime, please support Hyomin unnie’s title track “Nice Body” as well. Idol-killer Jung Hyungdon has done it again! His newest idol target was Jiyeon of T-ara who he successfully hazed during her appearance on his show “Weekly Idol”.

The reason for Jung Hyungdon hazing Jiyeon was because he insisted Jiyeon was a newcomer to the entertainment scene as she had just debuted as a soloist even though she had debuted with T-ara in 2009.

The hazing included, but was not limited to, the gwiyomi song (cutie player) as Jiyeon was famous for normally not having a lot of aegyo.

On the June 4 broadcast of MBC Every1′s “Weekly Idol,” T-ara‘s Jiyeon, who recently made her solo debut, was the featured guest.

During the show, Jung Hyung Don, a self-professed “bestie” of G-Dragon, said to Jiyeon, ” I heard you are a fan of G-Dragon.” The two then proceeded to battle each other in a quiz about G-Dragon to see who is a bigger fan of the BIGBANG member.

Jung Hyung Don was able to correctly answer which number G-Dragon likes and what his ideal type is, surprising Jiyeon. Jiyeon was only able to answer through a smart guess which type of “skinship” G-Dragon likes.

131017 T-ara's Ji Yeon Receiving Treatment After Injuring Her Knee Before "M!Countdown"

T-ara‘s Ji Yeon went to the hospital after filming for “M!Countdown” due to knee pain.

Her agency, Core Contents Media, said in a statement, “Ji Yeon hurt her knee during dance practice and went to the hospital after filming for ‘M!Countdown’.” According the agency, to accommodate Ji Yeon’s knee troubles, the group chose to sit down for their pre-recorded performance.

At the hospital, Ji Yeon was diagnosed with Knee Synovitis, an inflammation in the area around the joints. She received treatment and went back to “M!Countdown” for the live show. It was then reported that Ji Yeon went back to the hospital to receive acupuncture.

Later, Ji Yeon told Star News, “I apologize for making people worry…I want to show a good performance and not worry the fans.”

T-ara recently released their second version music video for “No.9.”
