T-ara’s Hyomin clarifies plagiarism allegations surrounding her solo promotions.
On July 1st, Hyomin updated her Twitter account explaining how she got to work with Block B’s Zico and his brother, Taewoon. She reveals that the part of the rap lyrics in these recent allegations were the part that Zico assisted her with. She also apologised for not being able to reveal that Zico participated in her track and ended the update thanking the people whom she have collaborated with in her album.
The clarification was in reply to recent plagiarism accusations after netizens found out that Hyomin’s self-written track had lyrics similar to Zico’s mixtape.
Zico, on the other hand, confirmed Hyomin’s statement, stating that Hyomin asked for permission to borrow some lyrics from his mixtape and apologised to fans for not informing them earlier.
Hyomin started her solo promotions with the release of her mini-album “Nice Body” on June 30th.
