Girl group T-ara’s Jiyeon and Hyomin caught much attention with a picture that revealed them in two extremely opposite weathers.

Jiyeon is currently working in Japan with members for ‘Banista.’ The members have been promoting their work in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Sapporo. Jiyeon recently revealed a picture at a filming site where it snowed to more than three meters

Hyomin, on the other hand, is currently filming for the Japanese movie ‘Jinx’ in Japan. She is only wearing a thin shirt in a recently revealed picture, portraying a relatively spring look.



Both members of T-ara are in Japan but they seemed to be at the opposite ends with opposite weathers, catching much attention. Jiyeon is in Sendai of Japan and Hyomin in Fukuoka, and the two cities were revealed to be different in temperature by 15 degrees Celsius.

T-ara will continue their promotion in Japan until mid-March. Hyomin will continue filming for ‘Jinx,’ going back and forth from Japan to Korea.

130222 T-aras Hyomin reveals the set for her Japanese movie

On February 22, Hyomin released pictures of her shooting the movie Jinx in Japan through her agency Core Contents Media.

Hyomin also left a comment saying, “I’m working hard to shoot the movie. Do I look okay?”

According to the agency, Hyomin is working with over two hundred staff members on the set. She is very enthusiastic shooting the movie and also introducing Korean and Korean food to her co-workers.

Hyomin plays the role of a Korean student named Ji Ho. The movie is about popular Japanese director Naoto Kumazawa and his original love story. Talented Japanese actors Shimizu Kurumi and Yamazaki Kento will also appear on the movie, which will be released all over the Asia, including, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan, in fall.

Besides Hyomin, T-ara members recently flew to Japan to perform and promote their new single “Banista.”

130220 T-ara will release a new song in ten different versions in Japan

T-ara will release a new album, which contains the lead track in ten different versions, in Japan on March 20.

On February 20, T-ara’s agency reported, “T-ara’s new Japanese single, Banistar, contains a total of ten versions of the lead track. Each member will sing the lead track individually, and Eunjung, Jiyeon, and Hyomin; Soyeon and Areum; and Boram and Qri will sing the track as unit groups. They’ll also promote the single in fifteen cities in Japan, including Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo, and Fukuoka. They’re flying to Japan today.”

T-ara once topped the Oricon Daily Chart and Weekly Chart with Bo Peep Bo Beep.They were the first Korean girl group who topped the Oricon Chart with their debut album.

T-ara will promote the single in Japan for a while, and Hyomin will shoot the Japanese movie Jinx.

130219 T-ara to form subunits in Japan

T-ara‘s got a new trick up its sleeve.

The seven-member girl group is set on taking over the Japanese charts as three subunit groups.

According to Japanese media Sankei Sports, the band members will form duos and a trio: Soyeon and Areum; Boram and Qri; and Jiyeon, Ham Eun-jeong and Hyomin.

The reinvention comes as the group looks to release a single titled “Bunny Star” on March 20.

The Japanese EP will contain 10 remixes of the song and different versions sung by the new subunits.

After the release, the girls will tour Japan.

The group made its debut in Japan in September 2011 with “Bo Peep Bo Peep”, the song famous for its cat-like dance moves.

The group’s new song will have bunny-themed choreography, in line with the group’s cutesy image.

Since the ousting of Hwayoung from the group last year, T-ara‘s faced some tough times at home.

However, across the sea, the group’s going from strength to strength.

Girl group T-ARA will be releasing 10 different versions of their Japan album, Bunny Style, on March 20.

On March 20, T-ARA will be boarding a plane to Japan and visit 15 different cities to perform. This new album will be releasing 10 different versions, one for each member and 3 for the unit groups.

T-ARA is known to be the fist Korean girl group to top the Oricon charts with their debut album.

They plan on revealing a new ‘bunny dance’ for this new album as well.

T-ARA will be staying in Japan for their promotions and member Hyomin will be working on her role in the upcoming Japan movie, “Jinx.”

130219 D-Unit to come back with the addition of a very pretty 4th member

D-Unit has some surprising news for their fans ahead of their comeback with an album produced by Block B‘s Zico!

The trio, will actually be coming back as a four-member group this time around! Although the trio had hinted at adding a new member by the end of last year, it never actually happened.

Well, they’re following through now for they have announced the addition of a fourth member, who is said to be very pretty!

Their agency confirmed, “From the start of their creation, D-Unit selected a concept in which team members change with different albums… The member who has joined this time possesses extreme beauty.”

Zico apparently played a role in not only helping to produce the group’s new album, but also had a say in the adding of the new member.

As mentioned before, D-Unit will begin revealing teasers on March 1st, and follow with the release of their second official album, with tracks produced by Zico as well as Kush and DM, on March 4th.

All 7 members will have a solo version of the song, and then the girls will break off into 3 subunits with their own versions, for a total of 10. The subunits will beSoyeon-Ahreum, Boram-Qri, and Jiyeon-Eunjung-Hyomin. This will be the first time a song will be promoted in Japan in such a unique way.

The song title comes from the Japanese phrase ‘bunny style’, which describes a woman who gets lonely. The song will feature a ‘bunny dance’ that mimics the movements of bunny.

“Bunny Style” will be released on March 20th.

130218 T-ara’s Hyomin writes a letter to fans

Hyomin attempted her best at writing a letter to her fans which was shared on T-ara‘s official me2day.

The letter was sweet enough to begin with, but she added her own quirkiness to it – not that she had any intention to. She wrote the letter on the way to the airport to start her filming for her movie ‘Jinx‘, and she took note that the car was shaking incredibly badly. She tried to be careful while writing her letter, but in the end the car took her by absolutely surprise at one point, causing her to jerk her pen violently when she was almost done. She complained cutely that the car was almost like a massage chair, and pouted as best as she could through words on paper.

She also regretfully admitted that she had to buy the other members delicious food because she could not participate in the “Bunny Style” promotions. Her full letter reads,

130218 T-ara form three project groups in Japan

T-ara will release new material in Japan in an unusual way.

On February 18, such Japanese media sources as Sankei Sports reported that T-ara will release a new single, Banistar, in ten different versions on March 20.

All seven members will sing the song individually and as three different unit groups. One song will be sung by the group in ten different versions.

Soyeon and Areum; Boram and Qri; Jiyeon, Eunjung, and Hyomin will form unit groups and sing the song.

As a new type of promotion, it’s expected to attract a lot of attention in Japan. Banistar is from the word Bani Style, which means a woman who feels lonely.

T-ara will present the rabbit-like choreography this time after presenting the cat-like choreography for “Bo Peep Bo Peep,” their Japanese debut song released in September of 2011.

T-ara will hold small live shows in Japan, starting in Sapporo on March 20, the release date for the single. On March 28, they will also release a photo book.

T-ara‘s Hyomin is about to go into shoot.

According to Core Contents Media, “Jinx” cranks in this 19th in Japan. Hyomin is the first Korean idol singer to take up the main role in a Japanese movie. This movie is directed by Kumajawa Naoto.

Director Kumajawa has already drawn out a beautiful outlook of the world with “Letter”, “Rainbow Goddess” and more. He is known as the next Iwaii Shunzi because he draws out the emotions of his characters so well.

This movie is produced and directed by ROBOT Productions. The distributing will be done by T-Joy to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and other Asian countries.

Hyo-min’s co-actor and actress are Simitsu Kurumi and Yamazaki Kento and “Jinx” will be shot in Kitakyushu and Fukuoka in Japan as well as Korea.

130213 T-ara receives the Singer of the month award on K-pop Award

T-ara received the Singer of the month award on Gaon K-pop Awards.

At the 2nd Gaon Chart K-pop Award that was held at February 13 at 7:00 p.m, T-ara received the Singer of the Month with “Lovey-Dovey.”

Soyeon went on stage and said, “Thank you for giving us this award. We will become the better T-ara in year 2013. Sadly, Eunjung is not with us today, but I would like to thank you all for her.”

K-pop Award is based on the objective data that has been gathered from Gaon Chart. The Award gives awards to 16 teams who sold the most albums from January to December of last year.

On SBS “Good Morning,” Eunjung said, “I want to be more mature and careful as I get a year older, taking care of the people around me.”

On the latest broadcast of MBC‘s “All the K-Pop,” all the stars were asked whom they would pick to be a wedded couple with for “We Got Married” if they were cast.

T-ara’s Soyeon picked PSY and explained, “With PSY’s wealth and popularity, I’m sure I would have a comfortable life” causing everyone to laugh.

Infinite‘s Hoya said he would pick Kan Mi Youn and revealed that he had been a fan of hers for quite some time before his debut. In addition, Moon Hee Joon pickedSISTAR‘s Bora and Danny Ahn picked SISTAR’s Dasom.

Idols stars and their partner picks for “We Got Married” will be aired on February 12 through “All the K-Pop.”

130212 Producers of ‘Five Fingers’ issue an official apology to T-ara’s Eunjung

YEIN E&M issued an official apology to T-ara’s Eunjung for booting her off from the ‘Five Fingers‘ drama.

The apology was addressed on January 23rd to the Korean Actors Labor Union. The full apology reads,

We wish you tremendous success for your union. YEIN E&M cast celebrity Eunjung from Core Contents Media for the role of Hong Da Mi in the SBS special drama ‘Five Fingers’. After we were done casting Eunjung, we decided for ourselves on withdrawing Eunjung from the drama ‘Five Fingers’ and told her so without holding adequate talks with the actress or the label and without fully understanding the T-arasituation. Also, we hurt Eunjung’s confidence by letting her hear rumors of a possible change in actresses before telling her she was withdrawn. We apologize to Eunjung and the Korean Actors Labor Union for hurting her with articles that stated the loss of production fees even though she worked diligently and actively in acting, practicing the piano, shooting for the poster, and attending the press conference. We apologize also for stopping the filming because she dyed her hair. It is the staff’s fault for not trying to understand the actress’ stance. These are things that happened because of our incorrect judgment as producers even though there was no problem with Eunjung appearing on ‘Five Fingers’ and because we did not organize the relationship between the SBS director and the writer properly. Because Eunjung was very hurt and we tarnished her name, we will work our best to heal her pain and her name. We also believe that there should never be a custom where an actor / actress is withdrawn without conferring them first. We realize that from the point of view of the label and the actress, it was a shocking situation. We apologize sincerely to the Korean Actors Labor Union for making them worry about all these issues, and we will help in changing the production environment so nothing like this happens again. It is not acceptable to allow this to happen ever again, but if it does, we will follow everything the Korean Actors Labor Union instructs, and we will work hard to find a cooperation point through talks. We are now requesting that you lift the ban that the Korean Actors Labor Union laid on YEIN E&M, saying, “The Korean Actors Labor Union bans YEIN E&M from producing dramas for 2 years”. We hope all these situations will be resolved easily, and we will work hard to create a healthy, diligent drama production environment with the Korean Actors Labor Union.

T-ara’s Eunjung revealed her New Year’s resolution on this morning’s episode ofSBS’s “Good Morning.” Eunjung stated, “As I get a year older, I hope to become more mature and careful. I also hope to look after people who are around me.”

On February 9, the ladies of T-ara hosted an event in Bucheon, Kyeonggido, to celebrate the Lunar New Years with their fans. They personally served over a 1,000 servings of tteukguk (rice cake soup), donated 100 sacks of rice to a local orphanage, and spent quality time with 12 lucky children from the orphanage.

The children spent the day with T-ara, eating tteukguk together and receiving gifts. Soyeon commented, “They are so cute, so I wanted to give them cash gifts. I realized that I am now old enough to be handing out the cash gifts.” She continued, “My arms hurt so much, but I feel great because that would mean I was able to serve that much more. We were so busy because we didn’t want the broth to get cold. It was fun.”

T-ARA member Soyeon stated that she wanted to film “We Got Married” with Psy.

Today on for the recording of MBC Music “All the K-Pop,” she appeared as a guest and was asked the question about who she would want to partner up with for the show, “We Got Married.”

Soyeon replied, “If it is someone that has Psy’s wealth, I am willing to sit at home and wait for him while he goes around the world,” making everyone laugh.

Other stars that appeared as guests also chose their partner that they would like to film with.

It seemed that the other stars chose other idols or people that were their role models from the past.

130212 D-UNIT will release the second album in collaboration with Block Bs Zico

D-UNIT will release a new album, which will be produced by Block B’s Zico, in March.

On February 12, D-UNIT’s agency reported, “D-UNIT is releasing the second album only six months after their debut. They’ll be a new singing group that has released a total of two albums and two singles.”

The album especially attracts a lot of attention as Block B’s Zico will participate in the making of the album as a producer. Kush, who is popular as a songwriter who wrote songs for Big Bang and 2NE1, and YMGA’s DM, who wrote songs for 4Minute, Super Junior, MBLAQ, and B2ST, will also participate in the album.

On February 14, “Stay Alive,” a song from the album, will be released before the album’s official release. It’s a hip-hop number featured by rapper Basco.

D-UNIT will start releasing the teaser photos for the second album on March 1.

130211 T-ara’s Hyomin attends her first script reading for ‘Jinx’ in Japan

A few days ago, T-ara‘s Hyomin had been offered the leading role in the upcoming Japanese film, ‘Jinx‘. It has now been confirmed that the singer will indeed be the female lead of the movie.

On February 10th, Hyomin boarded a plane bound for Japan to attend her first script reading for the film with her co-stars and staff members. She returned to Korea on the 11th via Gimpo Airport.

‘Jinx’ will be directed by Naoto Kumazawa, who’s well-known for directing ‘From Me To You‘, and will revolve around a simple love story.

Hyomin will return to Japan in mid-February to focus on T-ara’s promotional activities for approximately a month and a half, and also begin filming for ‘Jinx’.

130209 T-ara serves rice cake soup to 1,000 people in need for charity event

Label mates T-ara and SPEED performed a good deed for Lunar New Year by serving tteokguk (rice cake soup) to 1,000 people in need for their charity event. The event was held at Brilliant Chicken (Gilbalhan Chicken) in Bucheon on the 9th.

T-ara and SPEED also donated 100 bags of rice to an orphanage in Bucheon and invited 12 children from the orphanage to enjoy rice cake soup, take photos, and receive autographed CDs. More members of the Core Contents Media family, The SEEYA and 5dolls, were also present at the event to serve rice cake soup as well.

130208 T-ara’s Hyomin shares a set of photos with a Lunar New Year greeting for fans

T-ara‘s Hyomin recently shared some unseen photos that emphasize her beautiful features through her agency Core Contents Media on February 8th.

It seems with the freezing weather, Hyomin wanted to help lift the spirits of fans with the Lunar New Year just around the corner, as she commented, “I hope people take out their spring clothes after seeing my pictures. Happy new year!”

In related news, Hyomin has been cast in Japanese film ‘Jinx‘ and is said to start filming for the movie mid February.

130207 T-ara Hyomin Cast As Lead Role in Upcoming Japanese Film "Jinx"

T-ara fans rejoice! It looks as though Hyomin will be making it big on the silver screen in Japan! Hyomin was cast as a lead role in the upcoming film “Jinx.” The genre of the film is romance. It is being directed by Naoto Kumazawa. The director is famous for “Hoping to Reach You.”

In the film “Jinx,” Hyomin will play a Korean exchange student “Jiho.” She will be acting alongside Kurumi Shimizu and Kento Yamazaki.

Hyomin stated, “It is the first time that a South Korean female singer has been cast as a lead role in a Japanese film. That is why I am very nervous but I want to receive a favorable evaluation regarding my acting. I am very happy that I will be able to work with Naoto Kumazwa. I liked his film ‘Hoping to Reach You.’”

“Jinx” will be released in Autumn in South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Filming will begin in the middle of February. It will take place in both South Korea and Japan.

It has been revealed that T-ara‘s Hyomin has been offered a role in the upcoming Japanese film ‘Jinx‘!

A representative revealed on the 7th, “T-ara’s Hyomin has been cast for a lead role for Japanese film ‘Jinx’. She will begin filming shortly.”

Core Contents Media, however denied that the casting has been confirmed. “Although it is true that she has received the casting offer, nothing is confirmed as of yet. After Lunar New Year passes, we will be able to offer confirmed details.”

T-ara is currently preparing for the release of their Japanese album and will depart for Japan later this month.
