There is some exciting news in store for Queen’s!

Idol group subunits seem to be the trend these days, and jumping on the bandwagon will be T-ara with their very own unit consisting of 4 members!

Who will be in this currently unnamed subunit? Apparently it will be Jiyeon, Eunjung,Hyomin, and Areum, and they’ll be kicking off promotions with a song by one of the hottest producer teams these days, Duble Sidekick!

Core Contents Media broke the news on the 27th, stating, “A unit made up of Jiyeon-Eunjung-Hyomin-Areum is scheduled to launch.”

However, unlike other subunits that try their hands at a different concept or style of music than their original groups, this T-ara subunit will continue with ‘T-ara-like’ performances. The agency added, “They’ll be approaching the public with an even more familiar image.”

According to the rep spoken with, the unit has big plans in store as they hope to create a ‘national dance’ that the whole nation will be able to dance along to, much like the way everyone knows how to do the ‘Y.M.C.A’. The rep added with laughter,“We are expecting to see a song that will be like the next ‘Gangnam Style’.”

As for the other members, Boram, Qri, and Soyeon, they’ll be focusing on individual activities for the time being. After the concluding of unit and individual promotions, the group will reunite and stand together on stage again for their Japanese arena tour.

The subunit is said to be aiming for launch around April or May, so keep an eye out for updates!

T-ARA left for Japan on February 20 and traveled to 15 cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and more to promote their new album.

While traveling to these cities, T-ARA met with a total of 100,000 fans who showed their support with signs and posters.

Their agency revealed a picture during their Japan promotions and revealed the fans and the group at the concert.

T-ARA released their new Japan single, Bunny Style. This album will be released in 10 different versions. One for each of the members and 3 for the sub-units of the members.

The single will release on March 20.

The Track list is as follows:

Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, Limited Edition C, Standard Edition 1-7.

They also recently revealed a funny episode of member Eunjung in Japan. Eunjung was left stranded at a rest stop in Japan while making their way around to their concert locations. Eunjung ended up having a nice rest for about an hour at the stop as the car made their way back to pick her up.

After having a tough end of 2012, the group finally decided to make a comeback in Japan. They have been in Japan for about a month for their “Bunny Style” promotions. Due to some controversy and scandals from last year, T-ARA still struggles a bit in Korea.

They plan to leave for Thailand on March 14.

T-ARA debuted in 2009 under Core Contents Media. They also debuted in Japan in 2011 and became the most popular girl group to debut in Japan. T-ARA also has a unique rotating system where they choose a new leader for the group every year to give the group more opportunities and to create better teamwork.

130314 T-ara's Eunjung Requests a One Hour Break at a Rest Stop

T-ara‘s Eunjung made a special request to her manager so that she could have some alone time to marvel at the beautiful snow-laden landscape of Sendai, Japan.

It was between the shuttling between cities like Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya to promote T-ara’s latest Japanese single “Bunny Style,” that Eunjung decided to linger a little longer and take in the sights while the rest of the members piled into another car and left because of their schedules.

She explained, “The car waited a little over an hour for me as I found some sweet, much-needed alone time to myself. I also got a chance to see snow piled three meters high, which is really rare to see back at home! I thought it was pretty cool that some of the Japanese fans from around the area recognized me and asked for a photo. I also asked a favor in return to capture me posing next to the deep snow!”

In related news, T-ara recently wrapped up their promotional activities in Japan and returned to Korea on March 10. They will be resuming activities in Thailand starting March 14.

Qri threw her fans in for a loop with her newest selca.

The gorgeous T-ara member looked pretty with a shower cap pulling back all her hair. But combined with her rather unique cell phone case, the picture turned a little spooky. She herself admitted that it was a little bizarre, tweeting, “Sorry if you were surprised. Good night~~“.

With a shower cap and large circle lenses, she seemed to match the baby on her spooky cellphone case, complete with the eyeballs that were also embedded in the black case.

What do you think of Qri’s look, cute or spooky?

130302 T-ara to Release “Bunny Style” in 10 Different Solo and Unit Versions

Written By Regina Kim on Sunday, March 3, 2013 | 6:14 PM

T-ara will become the first Korean singer in Japan to release 10 versions of the same album.

According to renowned media outlets in Japan, T-ara will be releasing its upcoming single album Bunny Style in 10 different versions. Though a Japanese singer/songwriter named Masayoshi Yamazaki once released his 2002 single in 10 versions, T-ara is the first to do so as a foreign singer in the country.

There will be a version each for units within the group, dividing the members into three groups in total; So Yeon and Ah Reum, Bo Ram and Qri, and Ji Yeon, Eun Jung and Hyo Min. The remaining seven versions will be released with solo tracks from each T-ara member. Only a limited number of copies for the unit albums will be printed.

Bunny Style is a dance single about a lonely woman. The T-ara members are expected to hit Japan with another animal-themed concept, a bunny concept, to follow the cat concept it took up for Bo Peep Bo Peep in 2011.

T-ara will hold special showcases in 10 Japanese cities, starting from Sapporo on February 20.

130301 T-ara’s Hyomin introduces ‘Jinx’ staff to Korean food

Written By Regina Kim on Friday, March 1, 2013 | 7:24 PM

While T-ara‘s Hyomin is currently in Japan filming for her upcoming Japanese movie ‘Jinx‘, she didn’t forget to celebrate South Korea’s Independence (Declaration) Day. The idol star decided to treat the film crew to a Korean meal in celebration of the March 1st Movement.

Hyomin will be portraying a Korean foreign exchange student in ‘Jinx’, and it’s nice to see that she set aside some time to commemorate the national holiday. It is a bit ironic, however, as the March 1st Movement commemorates the earliest public displays of Korean resistance against the Japanese occupation.

In other news, while Hyomin films in Fukuoka, the rest of the T-ara members are currently touring around Japan to promote their latest single, “Bunny Style“. Make sure to check it out if you haven’t already!

130301 T-ARA Teaches Japan Staff a Lesson on Korean for March 1st Movement Holiday

Group T-ARA taught their Japanese staff a lesson on Korean on March 1, which is a Korean holiday.

T-ARA, who is currently in Japan for their new Japan single album promotions, sat down to teach their Japan staff a lesson on Korean. Today is March 1, a Korean holiday that marks the March 1st Movement.

The March 1st Movement was one of the first attempts of Korean resistance during the era where Japan took over the Korean Empire.

The picture that was revealed today by their agency showed the members on the bus with their staff and teaching them simple phrases in korean.

T-ARA commented, “We are proud to represent Korea and come to Japan and spread our culture.”

On the other hand, T-ARA will be visiting 15 cities in Japan for their new album.

T-ARA will be releasing 10 versions of their new Japan single, Bunny Style.

The 10 versions will include individual versions for the 7 members plus 3 for the unit groups. This type of album release is rare and is gaining much attention.

Today, the PV for the song has been released. The PV reveals a cute image with matching bunny outfits. The dance and song have been created to match and appeal to the Japanese audience.

The official song will release on March 20.
